The platform

Everything connected.
Every part, on your terms.

A collection catalog, a shared workspace and a website builder on the same foundation. So managing, enriching and publishing don’t become three separate projects.

01 / Collections and metadata

Structure that fits your collections.
Not the other way around.

Organize records, collections and digital objects with custom templates, vocabularies, authorities and relationships. Keep simple models simple, while retaining richer information when a project calls for it.

  • Collection hierarchies and relationships between resources.
  • Multivalued, multilingual metadata with visibility controls.
  • Templates, thesauri and validation for consistent description.

02 / Everyday work

Less repetitive work.
More progress.

Preview imports, save frequent searches and prepare batch changes. Long-running operations work in the background with visible progress and detailed error information.

  • Tabular imports and field mapping.
  • Batch editing with a preview of changes.
  • Workflows and automations based on enabled modules.

03 / Websites and visual builder

Design freedom.
Repository-grade structure.

Create pages, exhibitions and search experiences using visual blocks connected to your catalog. Even record pages, collections and search results can be composed without developing a separate theme for each view.

  • Galleries, maps, timelines, forms and facets.
  • Multiple websites and languages in one installation.
  • Reusable templates and scenes for consistent design.

04 / OCR and artificial intelligence

Practical assistance.
Human judgment.

Turn documents into searchable text and work with what they contain. Detect entities, suggest relationships, review metadata and prepare drafts for your team to validate.

  • OCR and transcriptions linked to digital media.
  • Entity extraction and enrichment proposals.
  • Assistance with record editing and page building.
IAReviewable suggestionsYour team stays in control.

05 / Collaboration

Knowledge grows
when people contribute.

Work with notes, versions and permissions, and open projects to contributions when it makes sense. Your team reviews photographs, corrections and new information before publication.

  • History and versions alongside each resource.
  • Moderated public contributions.
  • Personal areas and loans for projects that need them.

06 / Interoperability

Your data has a life
beyond the website.

Share records and digital objects through OAI-PMH, IIIF, JSON-LD and RDF. Configure data models and outputs around your project and its aggregators.

  • Structured metadata, vocabularies and identifiers.
  • Exports and connections to other systems.
  • Support for FAIR policies, without claiming automatic certification.

Licium Institutional

Start with what you need.

Licium Institutional combines modules, implementation and ongoing support. Scope is agreed around your collections, team and goals. You don’t have to activate everything on day one.

Let’s talk about your project
Can we migrate our existing repository?

Yes. We work with spreadsheets, Omeka S, Omeka Classic, OpenAccess and OAI repositories, among other sources. We review access to records and files and define a migration with trials, counts and validation. Scope depends on the source system.

Do you have to host it?

No. Licium can run on infrastructure managed by Libnamic or on your institution’s servers, working with your IT team.

What does implementation include?

We agree on a package covering the modules, configuration, initial design, migration where needed, training and support. Hosting and additional work are specified in the proposal.

What happens if we don’t renew?

Your installed version keeps working. Renewal provides updates, improvements and agreed services. Hosting and usage-based services, including some AI features, have separate conditions.

Is AI included in every installation?

AI capabilities depend on the modules and services configured. Usage is scoped in the proposal through quotas or credits. Privacy and review requirements are agreed as part of the project.
